The Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga Expressway, also known as the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Expressway Project, is a significant infrastructure development project in Bangladesh. It involves the construction of an expressway that connects Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, to the southern region of the country, including Mawa and Bhanga. The project aims to improve transportation and connectivity in the region and is part of the government's efforts to enhance the country's road network.

Key features and objectives of the Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga Expressway:

Connectivity: The expressway connects Dhaka with Mawa and Bhanga, creating a more efficient and faster route for both passenger and cargo traffic.

Economic Development: The improved transportation infrastructure is expected to promote economic growth in the southern region of Bangladesh by facilitating trade and commerce. It provides a direct link to the Padma River, enhancing river transportation and trade opportunities.

Reducing Congestion: By diverting a significant portion of the traffic from the existing road networks in Dhaka and its vicinity, the expressway helps alleviate congestion in the capital city.

Enhancing Accessibility: The project aims to make previously hard-to-reach areas more accessible, which can encourage investment and development in the southern region.

Improving Road Safety: The expressway is designed to meet modern safety standards, reducing the risk of accidents and improving overall road safety.

Environmental Considerations: The project takes into account environmental concerns and includes features to minimize its impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

The project is part of Bangladesh's ongoing efforts to enhance its connectivity and promote economic development in various regions of the country
